Priscilla Silver
Director of Music and Worship

I come to Hope Lutheran Church with more than 40 years in church music ministry. My choirs have sung in New York's Carnegie Hall twice, at the Church Music Festival in Salzburg, Austria, at the National Cathedral in Washington D.C., and on tour in England, Scotland, Wales and New Zealand.

For its participation in the July 4th weekend service at the National Cathedral, the choir performed an original work created for the occasion by Craig Courtney, a nationally-recognized composer of sacred choral music.

One goal of the music program at Hope is to use commissioning of quality anthems as a means of spiritual outreach that can span both geography and generations of choirs and congregations across the country.

I am the coordinator of the annual choral festival, put on by the National Association of Church Musicians. Our choir will perform in May at the festival, led by the nationally renowned gospel singer, Carver Cossey.
